Ulster Carpets was founded by George Walter Wilson in Northern Ireland in 1938.
Ulster Carpets is still privately owned by the founder's sons, Walter, John and Edward Wilson. The business was initially started to replace the declining linen mills and harnessed the renowned skills of the local textile employees in weaving carpets.
